Luckily, there are plenty of clean alternatives, and many of them can make a perfect gift or an irresistible stocking stuffer this holiday season.
While even a few years back it might have been a bit difficult to find a great performing clean beauty product, it is not so anymore.

Skincare self care gifts
For much of my skincare, I rely on my own, handmade face serums and oils. But there are a few that I rather buy and they are top-notch products, worth a splurge, as the effects on the skin are amazing.
One Skin OS01 Peptide Serum
This one-of-the-kind proprietary peptide serum is amazing! It is packed with antioxidants, nutrients, and the meticulously researched and clinically tested peptide to visibly firm, brighten and improve signs of aging.
The PhDs who developed this product swear by extending the longevity of the skin rather than just improving its appearance.
I can personally attest to this serum’s efficacy. I’ve been using it for a while and I love it. See my complete review and more detail on the science behind it here. Use code JOANNA15 to get 15% off your order.

Exfoliator T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial™ AHA + BHA Mask
Babyfacial™ is a pro-quality AHA/BHA “facial” that resurfaces to reveal greater clarity, improved skin texture and tone, and a more youthful-looking radiance. It is worth every penny!

Okologic Hyaluronic Acid Botanical Serum
I really love this serum made with only the purest ingredients: hyaluronic acid powder, organic lavender hydrofoil, organic Aloe Vera gel, Chamomile, and Immortelle extracts, and organic essential oils. You can read more about it here and then either make it (DIY) or buy it at my shop.
HA Serum and Face Oil Bundle
Get the Hyaluronic Acid Aloe Vera Botanical Serum for your mornings to plump and hydrate your skin prior to using a moisturizer and sunscreen. Add a Facial Oil to complete the set. Choose Blue Cactus Elixir for normal/oily skin. CoQ10 Antioxidant Face Oil for mature/dry skin. Or 14 Oils Face Serum for all skin types. Use the oil at night as the final step of your routine to nourish and pamper the skin overnight.
Clean Skincare and Self Care Gift Guide from Beauty by Earth
Here is a Holiday Gift Guide by Beauty by Earth, another great company with a line of amazing natural beauty products. everything this company offers is organic and devoid of any nasties that can harm our skin.
I can strongly recommend their self-tanning products for the face and body. I love them and will never stop using them. Very natural color, no streaks, and 100% natural and clean.

Make-up for a Holistic Beauty Fan
I posted about my personal choices for the best clean make-up products here, so here is just a bit of a refresher.
Sun Protection Mineral Powder SPF 30
Perfect for the days when make-up is optional yet you still want a touch of coverage with sun protection. Hikes, trips to the beach, outdoor activities, and DermaE sunscreen in powder form (translucent non-nano sun protection mineral powder) are made for one another.
Shop Derma E’s Vegan and Cruelty Free skincare productsKosas Tinted Face Oil Foundation
Kosas entire line of makeup is vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free. Everything is formulated without mineral oil, talc, silicones, fragrance, parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. The perfect combo of make-up and skincare in one product.
Illia Multistick
The creamy, on-the-go formula for a soft wash of color on your cheek and lip. This multi-stick comes in many shades, something for everyone.
Milk’s Kush High-Volume Mascara
The clean volumizing mascara is vegan, talc-free, cruelty-free, and paraben-free. And it truly delivers. Lashes are fuller, longer, healthier-looking. No smudging, and easy to wash off without rubbing the lashes off (this happened to me before with some conventional mascaras).
Clean Nail Care
When it comes to nail care, every clean beauty lover will know that they must stay away from the heavily toxic commercial nail polishes (I wrote an entire post on that topic which you can read here.)
Instead, opt for clean, at least 7-free nail polishes and nail care products like the ones by Mineral Fusion. They are long-lasting, and, most importantly, absolutely clean and actually good for your nails!

Beauty from Within
The skin is our largest organ, and it is one that will show if something is going wrong. Whether lack of hydration, lack of nutrients, vitamins, or minerals, the skin will quickly show that it is in need of replenishing whatever it’s missing.
Let’s take collagen as an example. It is abundant in the skin and gives it that youthful bounce and elasticity. However, starting in the mid-20s, collagen in our skin starts to diminish.
How can we tell? The skin starts sagging, wrinkling, and appears dull and sallow. It is time to supplement with collagen to delay the process of skin aging. It will help the hair and nails as well.

For the High-Tech Beauty Lover
A few months ago, a fellow blogger told me about the microcurrent device called ZIIP. At first, I was skeptical but after reading more reviews and seeing mind-blowing results in actual users, I decided to bite the bullet and cough up the considerable sum of money to give it a try.
I am okay with aging and welcome my 50s with grace (I hope:), but I am not super excited about drooping eyelids and more and more pronounced jowls. Well, let me tell you, after using this ZIIP device for two minds, I’m sold! I think this was a really great investment and even though it costs over 400 USD, it is so worth it (only a few microcurrent sessions at the dermatologist office or a spa would cost more than that, and here you’ve got a device that can be used daily for many years to come).

Give it a try, I’m sure you will not regret it. Read more info below.

For the Love of Hair
Personally, I’ve been obsessed with hair growing supplements for a while, at least since the chemo treatments which, of course, had lasting and detrimental effects on my mane. I tried a few of them and settled on two that I can highly recommend.
If you or someone else is looking for a great supplement to spurt the growth and improve the texture and volume of the hair, try Hush Hush Deeply Rooted.
This complete hair health supplement harnesses the power of proven vitamins, minerals, botanicals, and patented ingredients to stop thinning hair and hair loss in its tracks. It helped me! I’m on the fourth bottle already and don’t plan to stop any time soon.
Another set of vitamins to maintain great hair, nails, and skin, are the all-natural capsules from
Clean and Effective Hair Care
While providing the goodness of vitamins and minerals from within with the help of a good supplement like the ones mentioned above, it makes sense to also up the ante by promoting growth from the outside. Choosing clean, nourishing, and gentle hair care products is fundamental in maintaining a healthy mane.
If looking for a good shampoo, conditioner, and other hair products to gift someone or use yourself, give Derma-E a chance. Their entire line of hair products (just like their skincare products) is vegan and cruelty-free, sure to please a clean and ethical beauty lover.

Self-care can take many forms. But probably what comes to mind most often when hearing the word self-care is a pampering spa at home: a relaxing bath, a massage, a face mask, and so on. I wrote here about some ways to recreate a spa experience at home. Not only does it make us look better but it also can do wonders for our mental well-being. So relaxing and meditative!
Here are a few items you might want to consider for a spa-at-home lover in your life.
Bath Salts and Soaks
Start with a wonderful herbal bath. Starwest Botanicals Organic Herbal Bath is made of premium quality aromatic herbs and spices and provides a relaxing and aromatic bath blend that’s great for end of the day relaxation, and to help ease a tired and aching body.

Massage Time
Since the beginning of the Covid pandemic, many massage parlors have closed their doors. But this doesn’t mean we cannot still indulge in a pleasant self- or partner massage. All that is needed is quickly absorbing massage oil with a good slip. I can recommend two really good ones.

Marvelous Massage is one of our favorite carrier oil blends and the name says it all. C… [More]
I cannot imagine a self-care Sunday without a nice face mask. Your clean beauty fan will be so thankful for a gift of an organic clay mask to either cleanse and exfoliate or tighten and nourish their skin.
Clay Face Masks
Here I am suggesting the two masks that I make myself. They are made with organic clays and other nourishing ingredients. There are two to choose from: Dirt Magnet Mask (with bentonite clay and Japanese matcha green tea), and Beautifying Dry Mask (with the Moroccan Rhassoul clay, organic rose, hibiscus, and aloe vera powders).

There you have it. I hope these suggestions will have something you’ll find interesting enough to gift either yourself (you deserve it! Pamper yourself!) or a holistic beauty fan in your life. Either way, enjoy and have wonderful holidays and a happy New Year!
Drunk Elephant products are definitely a great choice.
I’m in love with DE!
These are great gift ideas!
Love Drunk Elephant. Great gift items for family and friends.
Thank you for sharing.
Some lovely ideas!
Great ideas for everyone on my shopping list.
I love this time of the year!
Im a big fan of vegan skin products, love the list and will check them out.
Vegan or at least cruelty-free is a must for me too!
Thanks, this looks great. After all the comments I am going to put drunk elephant on my wish list.
It’s really good, you’re going to love it and Sephora will have some nice BF deals for sure.
Wow, I wish somebody would get me almost all of the products mentioned here! Thanks for reminding me to start on collagen tablets again (I just realized I finished my last jar a while ago and forgot to buy a new one). The elephant serum with vitamin C sounds like a purchase, too:)
I agree, they are all sooo good!
